5 Local Restaurants You Must Try
I like to think me and my hubby are foodies. Well we love food and we look forward to trying out new restaurants all the time. When we lived in Maryland we had an endless pick of restaurants to chose from and we definitely took advantage of that. Whenever we travel to a new city we are so excited to try something local to the area!
Since we were moving back to Ohio, we were a little concerned about where would be our go to places to eat and how will we get to try new things. Youngstown, Ohio definitely has it's things it's known for and the wedding cookie table and pizza are definitely at the top of that list, but you can't eat pizza everyday so we set out to find some awesome restaurants. Depending on where you live in the Youngstown area, some of these places you might not have ever eaten at and I'm here to tell you that you need to try them ASAP.
I was shocked at how much we love these restaurants and look forward to going back! There's lots of restaurants that we at in the area but these are some ones we have been exceptionally impressed with lately!
First on the list is Bistro 1907 by Mark Canzonetta. It is a Modern American Bistro inside a historic building in downtown Youngstown built in 1907. Every aspect of Bistro 1907 is brought to life from pieces of the Mahoning Valley. We ordered the O.M.G. Buttermilk Ranch Onion Rings and Yum Yum Rock Shrimp to start off with and they were so tasty. For dinner I had the Shrimp Pad Thai and Anthony had the Crispy Fried Chicken & Buttermilk Cheddar Waffle. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here!
Next on the list is Station Square Ristorante in Youngstown, Ohio. This upscale Italian dining has pretty much any Italian dish you could want and more! They have 4 banquet locations and can handle any of your catering needs. We recently went her to celebrate my aunt's birthday and we were blown away by how delicious the food was here. This was our first time at this restaurant and we will definitely be going back.
Oh how we love going to Steamers! Lucky for us it is only about 10 minutes from our house and we go here a lot. They do a pretty great job at accommodating our family needs whenever we go to dinner here. We love this restaurant so much, we even had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding here! Granted we didn't live in town during this time so we were so excited to have it. It was a must ever single time we were in town. I don't think ever had anything I didn't like from here. That may or may not be why we moved within 10 minutes of this place! No judging...
When we decide to go to somewhere a little fancy or for a special occasion, we usually go to Michael Alberini's. They have created an upscale yet casual atmosphere. We have had nothing but exceptional meals here! Anthony always gets a steak, his favorite being something dry aged. I have tried and loved a few different meals but I typically order the Miso Salmon!
Last but definitely not the least is Rachel's Westchester Restaurant & Bar. This restaurant is located just outside of Youngstown and it is amazing! We have had so many parties and dinners here and it is always delicious.
