Home Gym Essentials
It's a slow process but quitting won't speed it up.
Motivation to live an active and healthy lifestyle comes easy to some people, but for most of us, it's really difficult. Some weeks I can be really successful with watching what I'm eating and working out consistently and then the next day I eat a whole pizza by myself. That's pretty impressive if I don't say so.
I have found a couple ways to help motivate me and stay consistent! I've talked about my love for my Peloton in a post before but honestly, I really love it! It's so convenient to be able to pick a workout in the amount of time I have. Whether it's 10 minutes or an hour, they have a class for you. If I only had a half hour to workout but the spinning classes at the gym are an hour long, I would normally just not go even though I could go and do something else for the time I had. That's the beauty of the Peloton and other at-home workout programs. There's a lot of different at home workout programs out there but I personally use the Peloton. They just came out with dance cardio classes! i just did my first one today and it was really fun! So now that we are stuck home with this quarantine, I would definitely suggest investing in an at-home workout program!
I strongly believe you need to feel good in what you are wearing to want to workout! If you buy a few new workout outfits, you are more likely to stay consistent in your workouts! I have found some really cute workout clothes at Target. They have a bunch of really cute leggings and tanks that are so soft and breatheable to workout in and don't cost a fortune.

When we moved into our house last year, all Anthony wanted was a gym in our basement. So after we purchased the Peloton, we bought some gym flooring squares from Walmart to put down. We've had it for almost a year now and we have absolutely no complaints! It has held up great so far. One of my biggest fears was that the gym room in the basement was going to smell like a gym. I was determined to make sure that didn't happen. I bought those gym sneaker balls to put in our shoes as soon as we are done working out and this awesome yoga mat detox spray. It is an organic lavender spray that I use on my yoga mat, Peloton bike and the gym flooring after I workout. It makes it smell clean but it isn't over powering at all.
