Our family vacation to West Palm Beach, FL
We have been coming to West Palm Beach for many years now. My grandma had a condo here and when she passed it got handed down to my dad's side of the family. We absolutely love coming here. It's family friendly and right on the ocean. This location is actually the only part of West Palm Beach that has crystal clear water. We met lots of people who actually drive from other parts of Florida to stay here because of the clarity. We had no idea that this was true but it certainly solidified why we love coming there!
We always stay at Marriott Ocean Pointe. It is one of their vacation club resorts. It has so many activities for the whole family so it's perfect for us.
It's right on the beach with chairs and umbrellas you can rent or you can bring your own. We always fly so we never bring our own chairs but the beach is just a short distance to the water so you don't need to lug the beach stuff very far regardless, which is always a plus for us.
The resort has multiple outdoor pools and a splash pad with playground (I think this was the girls favorite part). We practically spent every day bouncing around from pool to splash pad to beach. They also have a sand volleyball court, mini golf, bocce, pickleball, shuffleboard, tennis courts, bike rentals and a fitness center. So many activities to choose, especially for families with kids of all ages.
The fitness center has a couple Peloton bikes in addition to all their other equipment and we absolutely love that! Just log in to your account or use as a guest if you don't have an account.
Our girls made friends with just about everyone at the resort. They chit chatted with workers, people sitting by the pools and just about every kid they came in contact with! Honestly some didn't even speak english and my girls didn't care at all. Kids just play no matter what.
Fav Restaurants:
- Waxin's Restaurant & Bar - Swedish and American fancy dinner. This was really good! I got a vodka soda & had the salmon for dinner.
- Lola 41 - specialized in cuisines from the 41st parallel, they also have a location in Nantucket and i definitely plan on making my way there one day! It was our best meal of the whole week. I got the Tigger cocktail and it was fantastic! For dinner me and anthony got the edamame and Korean beef bulgogi over egg noodles... it was to die for
- Johnny Longboats - casual beach bar, it's very close to where we stay and food is great!
- The Woods Jupiter - this is Tiger Woods' flagship restaurant, it's a legendary sports bar experience. They also have handspun cotton candy for dessert!
- Dive Bar Restaurant - it is waterfront dining at the Jupiter Yacht Club Marina and the view is spectacular. The cuisine is Asian American. Our girls love edamame so we ordered that again and then I got their spring rolls!
- City Cellar Wine Bar & Grill - this is located in The Square at Downtown West Palm. We had a really great charcuterie board and woodfired pizzas.
- Whit's Frozen Custard - this ice cream shop came highly recommended by a friend and it did NOT disappoint.
- Angie's Epicurean - plant-based vegan ice cream in the most adorable ice cream truck. We always come to this square in downtown West Palm but this was the first time we had seen this truck!
- Le Macaron - an amazing Parisian experience from fresh baked croissants, colorful french macarons and gelato. We always stop here and get the macarons!
- Sloan's - this adorable ice cream & candy shop was a big hit with our girls! They had so much fun in this store picking out some of their favorite candies.
